Job description

PHL are looking for Custody Nurses and Paramedics to support Hampshire Constabulary in their police custody suites. Our clinicians are responsible for assessing the health needs of detained persons, as well as conducting forensic medical examinations for use in the criminal justice system. Interesting AND challenging work!

You will be conducting clinical assessments, identifying and implementing appropriate interventions and collecting forensic samples. Why not contact us for an informal visit to the custody suite to see how varied and challenging this role can be?

Location

Southampton or Portsmouth Custody Suite. Full training given.

Skills and experience

  • Registered Nurse or Paramedic with minimum of 3 years’ service
  • Full membership of the NMC or HCPC.
  • Competent in oral and written English.
  • Have been continuously resident in the UK for at least 3 years.
  • Ability to be cleared through the Police Vetting system: Level 3 NPPV clearance.
