PHL are seeking Advanced Clinical Prescribers to join our Covid Medicine Delivery Unit (CMDU), the role will primarily be to assess High Risk patients referred into the service, review clinical history, “Decide to Treat” based on National Criteria and to prescribe neutralising monochlonal antibodies (nMabs) in line with national timeframes.
Additionally the role shall require you to liaise with partners within the service such as Specialist Teams, the ICB and Trusts as well as the PHL Management (clinical and non-clinical) Team to assess the effectiveness of the service. Ensure that our patients are assessed and processed throughout the patient pathway, quickly, safely and are fully aware of treatment plans.
This role could be an ideal opportunity to join PHL on a permanent full OR part time basis offering base and remote home working.
Monday to Sunday: Day time Hours from 09:00 – 17:00
Advanced Clinical Practitioner Responsibility:
- Assess undifferentiated patients with a range of acute, non-acute and chronic medical conditions
- Take history, formulate differential diagnoses and formulate/manage treatment plans when working in any clinical environment
- Refer and facilitate patient pathways through appropriate referrals
Prescribe medication as required within your clinical competence - Recognise the need and initiate emergency treatment to save life or to safeguard the interests of the patient and refer to emergency services when appropriate
Advanced Clinical Practitioner Skills & Experience:
- 3 years of experience working in a primary care GP practice3 years’ experience in an urgent care setting such as an urgent treatment centre
- At least 6 years post qualification.
Excellent knowledge and experience in the assessment and management of minor injury and illness presentations - Good knowledge of primary care referral pathways such as 2-week-wait referrals
- Registered with the NMC/HCPC
- Non-medical prescriber
- Post graduate diploma (PgDip) and working towards completion of the MSc qualification. Completed level 7 modules must include a history taking and patient examination/decision-making module
